Count and summarise ID's each day while creating a new column that shows the accumulated ID's

Good afternoon community,

I am quite new into the R programming language so excuse me if my description of the problem might be a little of.

PROBLEM:
I have two column, first one being the ID of a customer and second one being the Date of purchase.
ID and Date of Purchase

I would like to summarise the Purchases made by a customer at one day and therefore create a third column that shows the amount of purchases for the customer on that date.
Hopefully this information is enough to describe my problem.
Many thanks in advance!
