I am trying to figure out where a scene came from, either a movie or TV show, in a medieval setting, where a man is sacrificing himself in a lake to plug a hole that would otherwise drain the lake. The woman he is doing this for, some kind of princess, is feeding him grapes into his mouth.
I think I saw it around 1990-1995. This is a childhood memory, so some of the details could be off.

Hmmm, in hindsight, I'm not entirely sure this is sci-fi/fantasy. Admittedly you could plug a real-life hole with a corpse... Were there any SFF elements you remember? The sacrifice being some weird magic ritual? The characters having time traveled to medieval setting? Or if you don't, are you positive it's SFF?
