Bead detection in a necklace using TensorFlow Object detection

0

$begingroup$

I want to detect and show the count of beads in a necklace. For this purpose, I am using a TensorFlow object detection API.

enter image description here

I have the images dataset similar to this image, I want to know what kind of preprocessing should I do for the detection of beads, would it be better to crop the single necklace out from image containing multiple necklace and then use labelImg for labelling? and what is the best model for this specific task, I am thinking of faster_rcnn, as images contain smaller objects. Please give suggestions as I am new into machine learning and any help would be appreciated.
