Robertus Creeley (21 Maii 1926—30 Martii 2005) fuit poeta Americanus et auctor plus quam sexaginta librorum. Usitate cum poetis Montis Atri consociatur, sed sua aesthetica poetica ab aesthetica illius scholae aliquantulum discrepavit. Amicus fuit Caroli Olson, Roberti Duncan, Allen Ginsberg, Ioannis Wieners, et Eduardi Dorn. Professor poesis et humanitatum Samuelis P. Capen in Universitate Civica Novi Eboraci Buffalonis meruit. Anno 1991, cum sociis Susanna Howe, Carolo Bernstein, Raymundo Federman, Roberto Bertholf, et Dionysio Tedlock, programma poeticarum Buffaloni condidit. Habitavit Waldburgi Cenomannicae, Buffaloni Novi Eboraci, et Providentia Insulae Rhodensis, ubi in Universitate Brunensi docuit. Accepit Praemium Lannan Foundation Lifetime Achievement.

Vita |


Creeley natus est Arlingtoniae Massachusettae. Quattuor annos natus, oculus sinister occaecus est. Scholam Holdernessianam in Nova Hantonia frequentavit. In Collegio Harvardiano anno 1943 matriculavit, sed excessit ut in American Field Service in Birmania et India annis 1944 et 1945 mereret. Ad Universitatem Harvardianam anno 1946 rediit, sed ex collegio excedit et deinde gardum aacademicum A.B. in Collegio Montis Atri anno 1955 accepit, nonnullos cursus quoque ibi docens. Cum collegium anno 1957 clausum esset, Creeley Franciscopolim migravit, ubi in Iacobum Kerouac et Allen Ginsberg incidit. Deinde, in Cedar Tavern Novi Eboraci, Jackson Pollock convenit et eius amicus factus est.
