Celeber est ob opus monumenti "A Mathematical Theory of Communication"(Theoria Mathematica Communicationis). Etiam saepe habetur pater modernae theoriae informationis [1][2] quoniam adhibitionis algebrae booleanae et computationis electronicam digitalem excogitavit cum thesem scripsit ad magistrum gradum anno 1837, 21 annos natus, in Instituto Technologiae Massachusettense. Acceptus est eum invenire Schemam Signum Fluxionem(Anglice Signal Flow Graph) anno 1942 quae fluxionem ostendit signarum in sequentia. Anno 1943 convenit cum Alano Turing. Ab inter annos 1956 et 1978 fuit professor apud Institutum Technologiae Massachusettense in sectione Research Laboratory of Electronics (RLE). Shannon murem creavit Theseus( nominatum ex figura Theseus eiusdem nominis in mythologia graece) roboto quod eum temptavit labyrintho solvere in primis experimentis in artificiali intellegentia.
