Conradus, iudicis secretarii Iohannis Conradi Adenauer (1833–1906) et uxoris eius Helenae natae Scharfenberg (1849–1919) filius, iurisprudentiae Friburgi Brisgoviae, Monaci, et Bonnae studuit.


Anno 1906 Adenauer ad factionem Catholicam Centrum accessit. Die 18 Septembris 1917 Adenauer Coloniae Agrippinae praefectus urbis tunc iuvenissumus Germaniae electus est. Anno 1920 etiam Borussicae civitatis consilii (Preußischer Staatsrat) praeses factus est.


Paulo postquam Adolphus Hitler Germaniae cancellarius factus est, accurate die 12 Martii 1933 factio Centrum petitiones urbis amisit. Nazistae Adenauer ex omnibus muneribus removerunt.


Anno 1945 cum aliis in Rhenania factionem Christianam Democraticam condidit. Anno 1948 legatus suae factionis in Consilium Parlamentaricum electus est et anno 1949 primus cancellarius foederalis Rei Publicae Foederalis Germaniae electus est. Anno 1953 primum iter in CFA fecit et praesidem CFA Dwight D. Eisenhower convenit. Eodem anno electionibus dietae secundae foederalis victor exiit atque iterum cancellarius foederalis electus est. 28 Septembris 1956 Adenauer et Guido Mollet, praeses ministrorum Franciae constituerunt, ut Saravia die 1 Ianuarii 1957 ad Germaniam reverteret. Die 7 Novembris 1961 Adenauer quarto tempore cancellarius foederalis electus est, sed promiserat se post duos annos magistratum relicturum.
