Eragon's series, great story, but weak ending [on hold]

I loved this whole series, that is until it reaches to point after killing The king Galbatorix. The story goes from great detail to being very obvious to be done so many times when Eragon is given a chance to continue the story the at this point is weak and seems like the story teller just wants to end the book. Did anyone else get this impression?
