Arnoldus Schoenberg (Vindobonae, 13 Septembris 1874; Angelopoli Californiae, 13 Iulii 1951) fuit compositor et studiosus musicae Austriacus. Inspiratus a expressionismo, novum excogitavit musicae modum, dodecaphonum, qui modum toni evitat, cum omnes scalae gradus aequo pondere constituantur, ex quo serialismus ortus est.


Albanum Berg et Antonium Webern compositionem musicam docuit.

Biographia |


Schoenberg, natus in religione Iudaica, dum vixit, tum in Lutheranismum, tum in Romanum Catholicismum, tum iterum in Iudaismum se convertit.
Inter primum bellum mundanum, ipse militiam voluntariam secutus est. Anno 1933, propter vexationes et leges nazismi contra Iudaeos latas, Schoenberg in Civitates Foederatas Americae migravit. Corpus est in Mediis Sepulcris Vindobonae humatum.
