I am looking for a book that has to do with Native American Romance
I’m looking for a book where a chief decides to go into a village to look for a bride. He looks at a line of women checking their breast and if they haven’t had children yet. The village chiefs daughter pretends to have a child by borrowing her friends child and pretending it was hers. The other chief decided to test the bond to see if the baby was hers and he threatened to kill the baby, the true mother screamed for her baby and he decided the girl is to be his bride.
He takes her into his canoe into his village. Where he starts to court her but one night he wanted to sleep with her she ends up starting her first mooncycle (menstraul) and he stops and she is sent down river for a few days. Later on in the story she falls in love with him a bears her first child with him.

Are there any sci-fi elements in the story? If not, then another stack would be more appropriate I think.
