Are both mutants and mutates posthumans? [on hold]

-5

Let's take the Marvel Universe: the term "posthuman" seems to be applied to a baseline human accidentally or artificially being gifted with superpowers, in comparison to mutants who are given these at birth. But since both are derived from Homo sapiens stock, don't they both deserve being called "posthumans"? With the difference of the non-mutants being called "mutates"?
(on the other hand, one would think a transhuman is aware of his ontological difference from normal humans and considers his powers as an essential part of himself: from this point of vien, the term would seem to apply more to mutants than to other superheroes, whose only distinguishing characteristics is to dress up and fight crime...)

Can you provide canon definitions to differentiate between these terms?
