extract calendar event information from unstructured text
$begingroup$
I am trying to automate event creation from email. Below is an example, I cannot make any assumptions about the format.
Consider an email message like below.
An evening of celebration blah blah blah
SUNDAY
JANUARY 20TH 2019
TIME: 3:00 P.M. TO 7:00 P.M.
VENUE: Blah Blah Church Hall
452 Blah Road, BlahCity, NY
ADMISSION: Free. All are welcome
How to extract the event information from the text which is
- title
- date
- time
- venue
Once the event is edited by the user, the library should be able to 'learn' from the edit and thus be able to do better in similar future emails.
Preferably python library but other languages are also fine. (I can wrap
into a REST service). If nothing is available, how do I go about writing one?
