Why does the black girl in this “Immortal Hulk” issue mention white privilege? [on hold]

-2

This is a reading of Immortal Hulk #11 (2019):

As the video maker points out, the characters are in Hell... and then she asks what's it like for the Hulk to feel such rage, and apparently she goes on a tangent about how she isn't allowed to do so. Fair enough, but then she mentions that it's like people go out of their way to forgive Hulk at times in spite of his many rampages. She finds this unfair that Banner (an educated white male) seems to be easily forgiven...

Is this opinion misguided? Because she uses his exile as an example like he was lucky he wasn't murdered for destroying Las Vegas (which kicked off the famous Planet Hulk storyline).

  • Oh, wait, or is this a content creator's opinion? I'd say it's still opinion-based, but also possibly off-topic. We don't really field questions about, say, whether it's justified for Terry Goodkind to be an Objectivist.

  • @Adamant - Agreed. The reason she says it is because that's what she thinks.
